Test results

Our results phone line is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2.00pm until 4.00pm and on Wednesdays between 11.00am and 12.00pm. You can also log into askmyGP and select Results Enquiry option between 0800 – 0930 each day to request your results.

Our staff are not qualified to comment on results therefore it is your responsibility to check them and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the doctor. Where the doctor has asked you to make an appointment or a telephone consultation, the receptionist providing your results will arrange this for you.

To ensure confidentiality, we only release results to the patient, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.

From 1st May 2024, we will be using askmyGP to inform patient’s of their test results, please note this is not for every patient and only for those who we feel need to be contacted. It the responsibility of the patient to contact the practice regarding there test results if they have not heard anything within 7 days, please note some tests can take longer.

Please ensure an e-mail address is registered on your askmyGP account to allow us to contact you. This will allow patient’s to look back on advice given anytime they wish.

For those who do not have access to the internet or for our elderly patients, you will still receive either a phone call or letter should we need to contact, this again is not for every patient only for those we feel we need to contact.
