Patient Services

You can request a repeat prescription online using Patient Services.

Our new online repeat ordering service called Patient Services automatically links to your repeat order list within your medical notes; there is now no need to type each item into your account unless this item needs to be reviewed.  However, items not on repeat prescription yet or items due for a review will not appear. There is an option to type these items in to order separately. You will no longer receive an e-mail advising your prescription has been ordered. Please log in to your account to view your prescriptions progress or for any messages from the practice.  For more information on how to understand your account, please scroll to the bottom of this page.

New registrations for Patient Services

To register for this new online service please download and complete this form. Please bring to GP Reception along with ID. Forms with no ID will not be accepted, this is due to Data Protection as it links to your own repeat history.

Forms are also available at GP Reception.

Once registered you will receive an e-mail from the practice with your log in details. If you do not receive this e-mail within 1-2 weeks, please pop in and we will print your details for you. (Check your Spam / Junk folder)

Unfortunately, only 1 e-mail address can be registered per patient and it is unavailable for under 16 years of age due to Data Protection. We encourage anyone 16 and over to use their own e-mail address, this is due to confidentiality as this links to your medication list.

Previously registered for Patient Services?

If you have previously registered for our online appointment booking service (this was our pre-covid online appointment booking service we offered and not our current askmyGP), then you will automatically be registered for repeat ordering. Please go to Patient Services Website and click forgotten password to re-set your account. Please contact the surgery if you are unsure or have any issues. If your e-mail address has changed since you first registered, please complete a new form.

Understanding your account within Patient Services

Request History section – click the Down arrow to open – click + sign to open request

Under this section you will see the item you have ordered and it will state it is ‘In Progress’. Once medication that does not need reviewed is issued it will state Processed. Any medication that needs to be reviewed will state Not Completed and there will be a message from practice. This does not mean you need an appointment for review unless the message states this. If review is needed a note will be left with chemist or at GP reception.

Request New Prescriptions – click the down arrow to open

Under this section is a list of available repeat for you to order. Tick the white of medication you require and click Request. If any medication you know are on repeat does not show, please tick the box under your medication list that states ‘I’d like to request an expired repeat prescription or another medication’ and type the name of the medication Please note this does not mean the item has been removed from repeats, it only means the GP needs to review and re-authorise this medication.  To the far left you will see a column called Available Requests with numbers underneath, this is the amounts of issues that can be given before the item will no longer appear and need reviewed by the GP.

Unavailable Repeat Prescriptions – click the down arrow to open

Under this section is a list of medication that has not been ordered for 6 months or over, these are automatically made unavailable by the system. If you require any of these items, please tick the box ‘I’d like to request an expired repeat prescription or another medication’ and write the name of the item
